BEFORE YOU CLIMB

  • All Climbers must have a current GVC Release of Liability Form (waiver) on file to enter any climbing area.
    If the climber is under 18 years of age, the waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. This waiver will be kept on file for one year.
  • All climbers must complete a Gym Orientation with GVC staff before being granted access to any climbing area. This orientation is mandatory and will include an introduction to all of our climbing area, climbing systems, facility rules and policies. This orientation normally lasts 5-10 minutes and will be kept on file with staff for one year.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Basic Party Package

This “basic” package is full of value and fun. It is perfect for a birthday party with any size group of participants. Staff will prepare and direct everything so the parents can just kick back and take pictures, Even climb alongside their birthday girl or boy. Birthday parties must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.

Includes

  • Up to 8 climbers and rental harnesses, additional participants will be $25/per participant
  • 2 hours of total event time (1.5 hours of climbing)
  • Full use of the Party Room and party supplies (tables, chairs, table settings, refrigerator, sink)
  • Event Host that will act as guide and will lead and operate all party activities
  • Day pass for all event participants to continue using the facility after the event is complete

What to Bring

  • Comfortable and athletic clothing
  • Sneakers (other shoes not allowed)

Cost

  • $200 for 8 Climbers + Birthday Child (harnesses included)
  • $25 for Each Additional Climber, up to 25 Individuals

Deluxe Birthday Party

For those parents who are interested in a completely HANDS FREE experience, this package is the works! This package includes everything in the Basic party package plus tons more. For $300, your child and their 10 friends can come in and experience everything GVC has to offer. Let us take care of it all, so you can enjoy your child’s special day!

Includes

      • 2 hours of total event time (1.5 hours of climbing)
      • Full use of the Party Room and party supplies (tables, chairs, table settings, refrigerator, sink)
      • Event Host that will act as guide and will lead and operate all party activities
      • Day pass for all event participants to continue using the facility after the event is complete
      • Up to 3 large, one topping pizzas from Pablo’s Pizza
      • One dozen cupcakes OR a birthday cake personalized with your choice of flavor
      • +2 extra children to your child’s invitation list (a new total of 10 children + your child to attend) and rental harnesses, additional participants will be $25/per participant

GROUP CLIMBING EVENTS

Grand Valley Group Climbing Events incorporate 2 hours of climbing mixed in with education, self-confidence boosting, strength training, and stamina building. These events are geared towards any type of group. Youth sports teams, businesses, church groups, scout groups, or maybe just a group of friends looking to try something new. Group Climbing Events must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.

Includes

  • Harnesses and Gym Orientation for all event participants
  • 2 hours of total event time
  • Event Host that will orient the event participants and oversee all climbing activities
  • Party room and party supplies available for extra charge (tables, chairs, table settings, refrigerator, sink)
  • Day pass for all event participants to continue using the facility after the event is complete

  • Comfortable and athletic clothing
  • Sneakers (other shoes not allowed)

Cost

  • $75 deposit – covers room, rentals, and hosts
  • 5-10 Climbers: $15 each – includes harnesses
  • 11-20 Climbers: $14 each – includes harnesses
  • 21-35 Climbers: $13 each – includes harnesses

LOCK-INS

Reserve the whole gym just for your group by scheduling a full or half night lock-in. Guided by our Climbing Wall Instructors, your group can just climb all night or choose to participate in any of the gyms offered event activities such as our team building events. Full night events are 10pm-7am and require at least 15 participants.

  • Up to 9 hours of total gym reservation
  • Full use of the Party room and party supplies (tables, chairs, table settings, refrigerator, sink)
  • At Least 2 Event Hosts that will act as guides and will lead and operate all lock-in activities

  • $40 / Climber – Minimum 15 Participants Required

TEAM-BUILDING EVENTS

Grand Valley Climbing Team Building Events are a great way to create stronger bonds within groups of all types. These events are professionally operated by well-trained staff and allow your group to bond while learning something new and having a great time. GVC team building events are customizable and will be geared toward your specific group. These usually incorporate ice-breaking games, heavy trust-building activities, cooperative games, and exercises that involve expert listening skills and trust in your team. Sports teams, businesses, church groups, and clubs are common teams interested in our unique team-building experience.

  • Up to 3 guided team building scenarios
  • 1 hour of climbing
  • At least 2 Event Hosts that will act as guides and will lead and operate all team building activities

MERIT BADGE CLASSES

Grand Valley Climbing is the only climbing gym in the western slope that offers BSA Climbing Merit Badge Instruction and Certification from BSA certified instructors. The classes run for 4 hours and can be scheduled anytime throughout the week or can be added to a lock-in with a change in rate. Merit badge classes must be scheduled 2 weeks in advance.

  • Harnesses and Gym Orientation for all participants
  • Complete training and climbing merit badge certification by BSA certified climbing merit badge instructors
  • At least 2 BSA certified climbing merit badge instructors that will act as guides and will lead and operate all
  • Instructional activities and certification
